Fat City offers a number of website hosting plans designed to be both affordable
and powerful. Unlike many of our competitors who nickel and dime their customers to
death, we believe in providing decent services at reasonable prices with virtually no additional charges.
We don't offer dial-up access, so our network isn't clogged with web surfers or extra traffic
that is unrelated to your website. We focus in two areas: list hosting and website hosting. As a
result, we are specialists in these areas and offer great performance and features.
From Economy to Business...
Our Economy package is designed for people who want to set up a basic website
and who require no dynamic content features and limited E-mail features.
We give you a lot of disk space and enough facilities to set up a great site with no frills. This
package is also ideal for those wishing to only use E-mail services and who might not need web space
at all.
Our Basic package is designed for people who want to set up a moderately sophisticated web site.
This includes plenty of disk space for pictures and graphics, and one of the best open-source scripting languages
around (PHP) with access to a MySQL database. This is perfect for putting up pictures
of the family, a hobby page, a newsletter or even a starter website for a company. If you have recently registered your
own domain name, you can be up and going almost immediately.
The Standard package doubles the amount of available disk space and bandwidth, but more importantly,
adds the ColdFusion MX scripting language. This powerful tool
enables highly dynamic website content, and is the leading tag-based scripting tool in use on the Internet today. Added to this
is the ability to use Microsoft Access databases in addition to the MySQL and PostgreSQL options. Since the most likely
user of this package is a small business, power user, or
Fusebox
developer, we've added a bigger FTP dropbox and one opt-in
mailing list for up to 250 subscribers. This is the ideal choice for small businesses wanting to host dynamic content
in the easiest fashion, and includes tools that can enhance your business and improve your Internet presence.
Our highest level offering is the Business package, tailored to customers who need the best performance
using Enterprise-level tools. We provide Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and
Oracle 8i databases, but also note that the
number of mailboxes bumps up considerably, and there are options for ASP, JSP, Oracle and E-commerce. A second opt-in mailing list
is added, and the FTP dropbox and disk space limits are doubled. RealServer is also available for those customers who
want to stream video and/or audio. This package is best suited towards corporate customers
who need the most powerful hosting solution we offer. This package includes free hosting for up to two
of your own domain names.
Note: You may choose to host your website on either Microsoft Windows servers or Linux servers, depending on your personal preference and
which options you require. For example, ColdFusion and ASP hosting are provided on Microsoft Windows servers only, so if you require use of ColdFusion or ASP, your
